Whether it's the beach, a date night, or fake tan, you can get your skin ready for anything with these simple tips. They are great for any time of the year when your skin needs to be smooth, soft, and hydrated.
Shaving your legs is always important for soft skin. It's probably one of those things that feels like a chore even when it shouldn't. After searching so long to find a razor that makes it little more enjoyable, I've finally found my favorite. The Schick Quattro You razor with 4 blades is easy to use, shaves close, and has a scent of Exotic Violet Blooms. I've also had no nicks or cuts since using them for a few months. They're the perfect razor paired with any shaving gel.
Exfoliation is so important when it comes to soft skin. Body scrubs take off all of the dead skin cells leaving the skin ready for a cream/lotion. With any excess product, like fake tanner, scrubbed off, the skin is able to easily absorb any products put on after a shower. I prefer sugar scrubs or nut shell exfoliaters because my skin gets easily irritated by sand, salt, or coffee scrubs. The latter tend to be to abrasive and make my skin burn.
My new favorite way to keep my skin hydrated without a sticky feel is with the Sephora Collection mousse. The mousse to dry oil formula is perfect for moisture on the go. It comes out like a mousse and instantly turns to oil on the skin. You can dress immediately after, which is perfect because summer heat tends to make lotions sticky and uncomfortable.
I always put on a lightweight cream or lotion on top of the mousse for extra hydration. I prefer a gel type of texture compared to a thick cream. It absorbs a lot faster and it's not heavy. Lately, I've been using the Body Shop Spa Wisdom Africa Shea Butter and Sesame Oil Body Balm. They don't carry that particular one anymore, but they have new vegan body yogurts that are gel-creams and absorb in 15 seconds. There's loads of scents, so you're bound to find one that suits you.
I hope these tips help you and you give these products a try. Let me know in the comments what your favorite body care products are.
